This CNN <a href="http://cnn.com/TECH/computing/9911/05/dvd.hack.idg/index.html">story</a> details how some Norwegian hackers have cracked the purported 40-bit DVD encryption and have released a cracking program called DeCSS. This program allows you to copy a DVD onto your hard disk. Ironically, the export restrictions on encryption made it easier to crack.

Use DOD Speed Ripper. It is a lot better, easier to use and faster than DeCSS. It was made in part with the creators of DeCSS...;)-~
